Millbrook Renovations Have Begun

Shortly after the summer camping season ended, construction began on the conversion of Millbrook to the new rec. hall/store/snack bar building. There is a lot of work to do, starting with emptying the kitchen of the old equipment.

Contractors worked for several days to remove all the old hoods, vents and duct work from the old kitchen. Many of the prep tables and other useful equipment was either sold or transferred to the new kitchen before the renovation started.

One of the many trailer loads of metal pulled from the kitchen of Millbrook awaiting picked up.

You can see the outline of where the kitchen office used to be in the back of Millbrook. After all the interior walls and the paper loft have been removed the kitchen feels large and empty.

The kitchen of Millbrook is not the only thing getting a facelift. The old dining hall is in the process of changing as well. All the wall decor, ceiling fans and wagon wheel light fixtures have been removed.
