Permit Granted

In early November our application for construction alterations on Millbrook was granted. Shortly after receiving the permit major work began.

Inside the old kitchen area, contractors have been hammering away at the old kitchen floor. All the tile must be removed and the subfloor cleaned and repaired before carpet can be laid for the new camp store.

On warmer days the workers venture outside to remove the old arrow fascia that once wrapped around the trusses and sides of Millbrook.

The back corner of Millbrook, by the bathrooms, needed lots of attention from the masons. The foundation is being expanded in two different areas on the one corner of the building.

Currently there is a storage room that covers about half the span of the back of Millbrook. In order for the storage room to be expanded to stretch the entire length of the building a new foundation is being poured by our local masons, The Shafer Brothers.

In-between the old dining room and the dish area used to house the hot water heater in an exterior closet. For the new building this area is going to be closed in and become part of the snack bar. The foundation wall is in the process of being installed.
