Lake Champion 2010 Work Week
Lake Champion is in search of devoted, hard-working individuals to help us during our 2010 Work Week! Help us prepare Lake Champion for over 4,000 campers to have the best week of their lives and hear the gospel. Here are the details: Who: YOU (and over 100 of your closest new friends). Spread the word to Young Life alumni from your area, college friends, and other people who care about kids. When: Work Week will begin with a 1 p.m. lunch on Monday, May 24th (arrive in the morning or on Sunday night). It will end in the afternoon on Friday, May 28th. If you arrive Sunday night, dinner is on your own and we will be serving a cont. breakfast on Monday morning. What will we do? Painting, planting, mulching, chopping, splitting, watering, building, digging, clearing, raking – and anything else that needs to be done to help get the camp ready for kids to hear about Jesus Christ this summer! What else will we do? Of course, there will be some time for worship, hearing from a great YL speaker and playing – including disc golf, tubing, the Blob, the zipline, the giant swing and other Lake Champion activities. What does it cost? Absolutely nothing! You'll stay at Lake Champion and receive all meals for free. You are only responsible for your transportation to and from camp. What do I bring? Work clothes, old tennis shoes or work boots, YL health form (download below), hat, work gloves, sunscreen, Bible, notebook, swimsuit, beach towel and clean clothes for the end of the day.
What if I can't stay the whole time? We always have a lot of work to do, so any time you can come and help is a blessing to us. Come and join the Lake Champion staff, along with many others as we prepare for another great summer! If you have any questions, please contact Kyle Young.
