Serving at Malibu

Volunteering at Malibu is an outstanding opportunity to live and serve in community.  High school and college age individuals are needed for work crew and summer staff positions.  (US citizens serving on summer staff will need to have a valid US passport). These are four week assignments that fill a variety of roles at the property. 
 
The dates for 2010 sessions are:
 
Session 1    June 4 - June 30
Session 2    June 27 - July 25
Session 3    July 22 - August 13
 
Applications are available online for both work crew and summer staff.
Interns

Full summer opportunities exist for individuals college age or older to serve as interns.   
 
Please complete and return the following items:
 
1. Malibu Intern Instructions & Malibu Specific Questions
 
Applications should be submitted by December 31st.  Telephone interviews will be conducted in January and selections made by early February.
 
All US citizens serving as interns will need to have a valid US passport.
Physicians

The services of two physicians have been incorporated into the weekly team at Malibu.  This team will provide medical services to our guests, participants in the Beyond Malibu hiking program, as well as yachters in distress.  (Some smaller or weekend camps may only have one physician.)
 
In addition to the service a physician renders, he/she and family are encouraged to interact with the other adult guests in the Adult Guest Program.  The Adult Guest Program is designed to give adults a closer look at the ministry of Young Life by allowing them to view and participate in the camping experience.
 
This is a tremendous opportunity to serve and to witness the work of the Holy Spirit.
