Work Crew

Work crew is the volunteer experience for high school students.  They serve in positions such as dining hall servers, housekeepers and outdoor crew.  In order to volunteer for work crew, you must have completed one year of high school and your area’s work crew training program. 
 
Work crew sessions for summer 2008 are:
 
Session 1: June 6- June 29
Session 2: June 30- July 23
 
To apply for work crew, submit an application to your Young Life leader. 

Summer Staff

Summer staff is the volunteer experience for those who have completed at least one year of college or are of the equivalent age.  Summer staff positions include ropes wranglers, cooks, bakers, lifeguards and store workers.  Some summer staff positions require previous experience and supervisory skills and all positions require considerable maturity.  For additional information on summer staff, watch the summer staff video now.
 
Summer staff sessions for summer 2008 are:

Session 1: June 6- June 29
Session 2: June 30- July 23
 
To apply, submit an application on-line or download and complete a Summer Staff Application form and submit it to Southwind.  Complete applications should also include a Staff Recommendation for Summer Staff form.  If you cannot submit a Young Life Staff Recommendation, please contact Southwind for more information on applying. 
 
Completed applications will be reviewed and you will be contacted by the appropriate hiring supervisors.

Summer Property Intern

Every year, Southwind hires a number of talented and devoted college-aged individuals to help staff its summer programs. Internships usually run from mid-May to mid-August. The summer intern program is an opportunity to grow in fellowship and work alongside Christian peers in a unique environment. Summer internships are paid positions and Christian maturity is required. Previous summer staff experience is desired.
 
We are now accepting Intern applications for Summer 2008 in the following positions:
 
Kitchen
Waterfront
Maintenance
Landscape
Sound Tech
