When You Arrive
First Thing...
After you get settled in, come to the Dining Hall and take some time to review the training materials that will be left for you.
Assemble all of your work crew in the Dining Hall. Make sure everyone has arrived, check with the camp leader or guest services to determine how many work crew you should have. Learn their names and assign each his or her responsibilities using the "WC Appropriations" and "Server Jobs" staffing sheets. These will be found with the Work Crew Binder that has been left for you.
Basic Training ...
The training modules in the Work Crew Supervisor Training Materials are very brief and are designed to give you a "heads-up" of how we operate the food service department at Timber Wolf Lake. They also cover some basic expectations of you and your work crew.
Please read Welcome to Basic Training first. The Clean-As-You-Go and Everything-Has-A-Place philosophies are the very core of our operations. Understanding them and the importance they play in how we operate will make you a more effective leader.
Also, familiarize yourself with the Seating Diagram (note: The amount of tables set will depend on the size of your group and will be communicated to you in the Work Crew Binder) and Table Set up example. Thank you for taking the time to better equip yourself in preparation for your role as a work crew supervisor. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
