Pioneer Plunge

Pioneer Plunge is Windy Gap's wilderness camping experience. Designed with small groups in mind and a focus on discipleship, Pioneer Plunge offers a totally different adventure experience. Located up the valley from Windy Gap, the cabins of Plunge provide your group with the perfect mountain getaway and an amazing setting for growth in their walk with Christ.

The Adventure

The Blue Ridge Mountains provide a beautiful setting for a Plunge adventure. Three bunk cabins house groups up to 35, while the main cabin serves as meeting space, kitchen, and dining room. The facilities are rustic with no electricity or running water - just like the pioneers. An initiatives course and a trout pond also provide great mountain activities. A wide variety of program and content options allow you to tailor a trip to suit your group.

The Experience

Pioneer Plunge is a great facility to grow your group in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and build community within the body of Christ. Due to the rustic setting, everyone on a Plunge trip is challenged to contribute and interact in order to make the trip successful. The intimate setting allows for great group discussion and a unique worship experience.

The Trip

Pioneer Plunge operates during the school season (mid-August to mid-May). Trips typically last Friday through Sunday, but mid-week options are also available.
