Coming to Camp
Woodleaf provides bedding and towels, but you might bring an extra towel or two. You never know when an old towel might come in handy.
Bring a sweatshirt or light jacket. You can’t beat the summer weather at Woodleaf, but it can get cool at night sometimes, particularly in early June.
Don’t forget some extra sunscreen and bug repellant!
You might remind your kids to bring at least one change of “grungy” clothes, especially an old pair of shoes.
3:00 P.m. Day 1.
Departure:
Noon on the last day.
You might have lunch in Marysville. After you make the turn at Carl’s Jr. on Highway 70, make a quick left and there is parking along Lake Ellis. Carl’s, Burger King, Jack in the Box, Round Table Pizza and Starbucks are all within easy walking distance. You will want to depart Marysville by 2:00 P.M. There are other good staging places in Oroville, Chico or Sacramento. Give us a call if you have questions or need ideas.
Spending Money?
Your kids might want to take a little of camp home with them, and the Woodleaf Store is the perfect place to find what they desire. You might figure $15 or so for a t-shirt or ball cap. They might spend a couple of bucks in the Craft Room making a rope necklace or bracelet. Figure a couple dollars a day in the Sugar Barrel for an ice cream treat or other snack. Then there's the Gold Cup, Woodleaf's own espresso bar. And of course they are going to want to take home the Woodleaf Scrapbook DVD complete with an action-packed video of their week with extra footage, plus more than 400 pictures for $16.
