WOODLEAF SUMMER INTERN PROGRAM=

 

Woo= dleaf is designed to function as a platform through which the Gospel can be presented and experienced powerfully.  I= t is our goal that guests and staff who come to this property would realize a significant, life-changing experience through adventure, excellence in serv= ice, quiet time, challenges, good friendships and the dynamic presentation of the Gospel in the spectacular setting of God’s awesome creation!

 

In accordance with these goals and purposes, the Property Staff Summer Interns= at Young Life’s Woodleaf are committed to the following:

 

¨            &n= bsp;      Pursue personal spiritual growth – increas= e and deepen our knowledge, joy, faithfulness, wisdom, discipline, assurance.

 

¨            &n= bsp;      Perform vital tasks of a wide variety in a powerf= ul ministry.

 

¨            &n= bsp;      Provide critical leadership in important ar= eas of camp functions.  Work with vis= ion and a mindset of ownership and constant improvement.<= /p>

 

¨            &n= bsp;      Portray an example of love, faithfulness, maturi= ty and hard work to work crew, summer staff, assigned staff, and guests.

 

¨            &n= bsp;      Participate actively in fellowship and discipleshi= p with summer staff and property staff.

 

¨            &n= bsp;      Help kids to hear, see and feel the love of God as they consider making a decision to follow Christ.

 

The= re are various Intern positions available at Woodleaf  for the summer of 2008 with= some (*) requiring special certification which Woodleaf will help you schedule training for and pay for you to get, if you are selected.=

  • Kitchen Interns (3 positi= ons)
  • Waterfront Intern * (life= guard certification)
  • Challenge Course Intern * (Alpine Tower/Ropes Course certification)
  • Guest Services Intern (pr= ogram events/Adult Guests/Assignment Teams)
  • EMT Intern
  • Video Tech Intern
  • Sound/Video Tech Intern (= 70% sound & 30% video assistant)
  • Ridge Runner Intern<= /o:p>
  • Mountain Bike Intern (inc= ludes bike maintenance)
  • Retail Intern (supervisio= n in the Store/Sugar Barrel/Gold Cup Coffee Shop)
  • Business Office Intern

 

The= Intern position is a paid position based on a full time 40 hour week at the rate of minimum wage in California which is $7.50/hour. That calculates out to $1300 gross salary per month. A monthly allowance of $250 is deducted from your payroll to cover the room a= nd board provided at Woodleaf.

 

You= also can receive a paid week off to go counsel kids from your own club if you we= re a volunteer leader this year and are going to take kids to camp from your clu= b. You are responsible to cover any transportation cost associated with this t= rip.
