What is Castaway?

Castaway Club is one of Young Life’s 25 camps in the United States and Canada. Young Life is a non-denominational, Christian organization that is committed to spreading the gospel to high school and middle school kids across the world.

Castaway Club is located in the heart of Minnesota’s beautiful lake country, 13 miles south of Detroit Lakes. Nestled between two lakes, Castaway gives you the sense of being on an island. With Big Pelican Lake to the west and Little Pelican Lake to the east, visitors will experience some of the most spectacular sunrises and sunsets the area has to offer.

During the summer, Young Life areas bring in hundreds of high school and middle school kids each week to tell them about Jesus Christ and give them the “best week of their lives!”

During the school season, Castaway is available for churches, para-church organizations and other non-profit groups for weekend or weeklong camps, retreats and seminars.
