Trusses on the way

Onsite construction of The Bear Creek Inn came to a hold as the cold winter weather came this year. The dining room portion of the slab has been poured and we are waiting for warmer weather to pour the remaining areas of the kitchen. Straw and tarps were placed on the site to help prevent ground freezing.

The snow finally arrived here in Glen Spey but the outline of the dining hall can still be seen. Even though the construction here at camp is at a stand still due to the weather, progress is still being made. The trusses are being built in a warehouse and are set to be delivered the week of March 5th. As soon as the completed trusses arrive construction will resume. The current plan is to have the trusses set and the roof constructed by the end of March.
