Roofing

The process of adding roofing material is coming to an end as the summer draws to an end as well. Almost the entire structure is now under cover with either tongue and groove or plywood material.

Looking up from inside the dining hall you can see the tongue and groove 2x6 sheets of yellow pine that make up the ceiling. As you can see only a small section or this first layer or roofing remains unfinshed.

Materials such as wood, insulation, tar paper, shingles and other construction supplies are lifted to the roof with the help of some heavy machinery.

8' x 4' panels of foam insulation are stored under cover before they are lifted to the roof to be added as the insulation layer on top of the dining hall part of the building.
