It's Taking Shape

Standing on the newly completed stage in The Bear Creek Inn the windows that will look out into camp center make a beautiful backdrop.  The sound room is nesteled 10 feet above the main doors and has a great view from it's elevated location, not only of the dining hall but out to camp as well.

Scott Prinzing our Guest Services Coordinator decides to lend a helping hand and sweep the stage as it is being built.  The nice size stage is framed by beautiful wooden columns and has acccess from the main dining hall and through a back stage section in the kitchen.

The rather large hood vents and hood units are now in place over the cooking areas.  A large window cutout will allow kitchen workers to easily see what is happening on both sides of the cooking lines.

In the kitchen these days there are no chefs but more construction workers than you can count.  Plumbers, electricians, framers, and many other workers are sharing the space. As you can see from the picture there are many pipes that are being installed in the walls and above the soon to be ceiling.  The white pipes are drain pipes, copper are water lines and the black pipes are for the sprinkler system that is being installed building wide.

The local mason and escavating crew were called to build and install the pump house for the sprinkler system that is going to feed the new dining hall and the new assign team housing that is in the planning stages.  The rather large concrete pump house that is being started at the lakes edge will house the pump and a 3 foot diameter pipe will be installed in the lake to draw the neccessary water.
