The Bear Creek Inn exterior is coming along. The front grading is completed and ready for the stone wall to be built. About 70% of the exterior is covered with house wrap awaiting the siding crew.

As you can see the Dining Hall sits up a little higher than the ground around it. In front of the main doors there will be a 5 foot stone wall with steps down to the center of camp. After fill dirt was brought in top soil was graded out and the seed layed for the future front lawn. All the windows are in and the work continues on the inside of the building.

On the back of the kitchen the final stages are being started. After the windows are trimed with pine planking the hardiplank siding is installed. At the same time as the siding the soffet is finished with the tongue and groove pine boards that can be seen to the right.

Right around the start of November the insulation started going in the kitchen as well. After the kitchen area is insulated the crew will focus on the large exterior walls of the main dining room. The room to the left that is fully insulated is the future kitchen office, complete with a window outside and a window into the kitchen.

After many hours the LC site and facilities team completed the walk- in coolers. This fridge/freezer combo is quite a bit larger than the current facilities that are located outside and are a welcomed site by the food service employees.
