Paint, paint and more paint

Progress on Bear Creek Inn is coming along well. As the winter sets in, the heat is on and the painters are working hard in the dining area. The first coat of light green is almost complete.

Not only are the walls getting painted but the beam hardware and heating ducts as well. The ducts were painted on the ground and then lifted into place and secured after the walls were completely painted. As you can see to the left the hardware on the beams is no longer metallic but painted a brown rust color.

Workers are busy in the kitchen as well. There are still multiple contractors working at the same time to stay on schedule. The Fiberglass Reinforced Panels (FRP) are being glued to the walls in the kitchen. The drop ceiling has been installed and is awaiting the tiles.

There are still many projects to be completed, but it is starting to look like a kitchen.

We are still amazed and excited to see the new building looking over camp. Our staff and the folks that use the property are starting to get excited to use The Bear Creek Inn this summer.

As the snow continues to fall and the temperature drops, workers are excited to be inside finishing projects in the warmth of the dining hall.
