The Floors are Starting to Shine!

After all the rustic hardwood was installed and prepared it is time to start sanding. The floor crew has been working non stop at sanding, cleaning and staining the wood floor. This is a long and time consuming process. As you can see to the right the finished floors shine in the sunlight.

The sound booth is almost complete. The custom oak wood work is complete and the counter top is in place. After the floors are complete the spiral staricase for the booth will be installed where the ladder is now.

It is a great view looking down for the sound booth. From the elevated perch you can just picture this room full of kids. The speakers are hung, cables are in place, and the stage is wrapped and ready for the finishing.

The electricians are hard at work installing the lights and fixtures. Back stage you can see some lights, fire alarms and one of the many fuse panels in the dining hall. The main chandalier lights for the dining area are being custom made and should be arriving in the next few weeks.

All of the interior doors have been installed and painted. As you can see to the right the doors have been painted "Black Fox" which is the same as the new exterior trim. This will help tie the buildings togethor and give a feeling of unity.
