The staff of the Washington Family Ranch has committed to giving and raising funds to make sure that no camper is left behind each summer. For the summer of 2008, The Leave No Camper Behind Fund had given out $102,500 to help 500 campers attend camp. The fund was created to help middle school and high school kids, who have unique family and financial hardships, be able to afford a week at camp.
Download the application and instruction packet. Applications can be submitted as early as December 1st, 2008 and will be accepted up until June 1st, 2009, or until all available funds for the year have been exhausted.
Applications must be filled out by the camper’s leader and signed by the area director. Both the leader and the area director will be notified within a month as to if any money and how much will be awarded. The funds will be transferred into the area’s account after the camper attends camp.
