Austin West Young Life leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives -- from supporting them at their games to listening to them talk about what's important to them. Austin West leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future.

 

Young Life leaders are part of the support structure that exist around each kid. Along with parents, coaches, teachers, administrators, instructors and others, Young Life leaders hope to provide encouragement and support to kids at this critical stage in their lives.

 

Young Life leaders enter the world of high school and junior high kids in a relational way with the offer of unconditional friendship and hoping to earn the right to be heard in kids' lives. As caring adult role models, Young Life & Wyldlife leaders hope to help bridge the gap that sometimes exists between adults and adolescents. At a time when kids listen to their friends more than anyone else, trained Young Life & WyldLife leaders hope to be counted among those friends.

 

All Young Life leaders are committed followers of Christ. Each Young Life leader knows the hope and joy that comes from following Christ in their daily lives. For some kids, considering God's plan for their life will be important to them. Other kids may not show any interest in spiritual matters but simply appreciate another voice in their world cheering for them. Young Life leaders care for every kid with no mind to how they respond to spiritual matters.

 

Young Life and Wyldlife leaders across Austin West spend hundreds of hours collectively each week in kids' lives. We do it because we respect and care about kids, we do it because someone was there for us.
