The Bowery Mission in New York City provides an opportunity to serve the homeless community for a week during school vacation. Each year, we have the privilege to join the staff at the Bowery Mission in serving the homeless community of New York City. We get to prepare and serve food (up to 700 meals a day), wash dishes, floors, windows and walls, stock food in the pantry, join in the missions's outreach at local parks and do any odd jobs needed.
