What is Committee?

Each local area has a committee of adults who believes in the mission of Young Life: to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith. You'll find adults from all different backgrounds, careers and churches, including lots of moms and dads who care about kids.

The committee, comprised of parents, Young Life alumni and civic leaders, provides a foundation of financial, administrative and moral support for the local Young Life team.

Ask your area staff person for a local list, and feel free to call these folks with your questions at any time.

Who:

Just as a very diverse group followed Jesus 2,000 years ago, we are seeking a group of committed adults to fill many different roles as we work with Caribbean young people. We need prayerful people who span the range from field workers to donors and everything in between.

Where:

We are looking for enterprising adults who will venture to a new place for an extended stay, take a short term mission trip or help from the comfort of their own "back yard".

What:

We need adults who will make outreach to young people in the Caribbean their passion. We need people who will promote the ministry and pass on news to others. We need people who will provide for the ministry by donations. We need donors of all types – donors of time, expertise, and/or funds for a worthwhile purpose. We also need what you uniquely will bring to the team! There are so many ways to join in YL’s Caribbean outreach; join today!

Why:

Because the kids need it. Because the Lord has already called some to the region and they need support. Because the cause is right.
