Each local area has a committee of adults who believe in the mission of Young Life: to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and to help them grow in their faith. You'll find adults from all different backgrounds, careers and denominations, including lots of moms and dads who care about kids. Committee members partner with the local ministry in a variety of ways, some of which include praying for the local area, participating in fund-raising events and providing administrative help to the local staff. Regions also have committees that function similarly to a local committee, but at a regional level.

Committee provides an important foundation for a Young Life region. Committee members can also serve as a catalyst for beginning Young Life ministry in a community -- their community or one nearby. Committee members are dedicated volunteers whose unique gifts enable staff and leaders to reach out to kids.
