Young Life is relatively new in the country of Argentina, especially in the northern city of Corrientes, where mission teams will be serving in 2009. Corrientes lies on the Argentina-Paraguay border, approximately 11 hours north of Buenos Aires by bus or 2 hours by air.Service projects will be mostly helping in "work crew" type roles, helping our Argentinean staff and leaders to put on Young Life style outreach camps for local kids. Our short-term missions program is providing much needed support for this new, but quickly growing ministry. Additional projects working with low-income families exist in the Corrientes area. Travel to South America, see one of the region's most beautiful countries and help Young Life Argentina gain a foothold in the Corrientes community....see kids experience the Gospel in their own language, on their own turf, and be changed eternally!Group must fly first from the USA to Buenos Aires, then from BA to Corrientes on domestic airlines. Expect airfare from east coast of USA to range from $1100-$1300 per person, depending on time of travel and group size.Opportunities for groups to travel to the famous Iguazu Falls, the "Niagra Falls of South America".
