Donors are vital to Young Life at the local area and regional levels. Because Young Life areas are financially supported solely at the local level, donors’ financial gifts account for all of an area's budget and part of a region's budget. Your donation helps areas hire and train staff and provide essential administrative support to the area. Your contributions also support operating expenses such as salaries and other ministry costs and can help send kids to Young Life camps.

Flathead Valley is committed to introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grown in their faith. Young Life also aims to establish and maintain a presence at all high schools and middle schools in the Flathead Valley.

We accomplish this vision by:

• Strategic and committed prayer
• Partnering with local churches, the adult community, local businesses, and other ministries
• Building teams of trained leaders around each school
• Going where kids are at, building relationships, and earning the right to be heard in their lives
• Demonstrating that a walk with Christ is, as they say in john 10:10, "Life to the fullest, and communicating the gospel in a way that is revelant to kids who don't know Christ
• Loving and following through with kids regardless of their response to the gospel

The Focus for 2005-2006

• Build up the adult community to own the Young Life ministry in the Flathead Valley
• Develop a community of adult leaders to reach kids
• Establish ministries to the middle school students in Kalispell, Whitefish and Bigfork
• Bring a full-time staff person to Bigfork
• Start small group in Columbia Falls
• Take 50 high school students from the Valley to camp summer of 2006

We believe that in order to reach kids we must go where they go and enter their world. Every week in our local area, Young Life staff and volunteers can be found at school events and practices and at kids' favorite hangouts. In many cases, they are the only adult friends kids have in their lives. Our work could not be done without your support. We are grateful for your gift to Flathead Valley Young Life area #MT35.
