Meet the Young Life of Greenwich staff & leaders

Michael Basile
Young Life of Greenwich Area Director
Mike was born and raised in New Jersey where he grew up in an Italian neighborhood 30 minutes outside of NYC. His Young Life experience began as a high school student. As a junior in college he became a volunteer leader and continued after he graduated from Boston University in 2004 with a B.A. in History and a license to teach secondary education. Michael secured a job at Concord-Carlisle High School where he spent two and a half years as a U.S. History teacher, a volunteer Young Life leader, and the JV baseball coach. Michael joined the Young Life team in Greenwich in September of 2006. He currently coaches volleyball at GHS.

Stephanie Heath

Steph grew up in Scotch Plains, New Jersey where she was actively involved in Young Life as a high schooler, having been a WyldLife leader at the program's inception.  Steph studied German and Philosophy at Gettysburg College, and was a captain of the Women's Soccer team for both the 2005 and 2006 seasons.  As a volunteer YL leader at Gettysburg High School, Steph was part of a team who re-started a club.  She graduated with two BA's and came to join the Young Life team in Greenwich, working primarily with the WyldLife program and private school ministry.  Steph has been coaching at Greenwich Academy at both the middle and upper school levels.
 
Diana Sanderson

Diana graduated from The Ohio State University in 2005 and majored in Physiology while also earing a double minor in Nutrition and Pediatric Development.  She has a vast Young Life experience in that she participated in the Young Life program while in high school as well as being a head leader at a high school in Gahanna, Ohio.  Diana was also a soccer coach, ran the Snow and Ski program for several years at Gahanna Lincoln High School.  She has been coaching at GHS and is currently helping out with lacrosse at Greenwich County Day School. 

Amanda Mastera

Amanda grew up in New Canaan where she played Lacrosse and was involved in Young Life for several years.  She attended Regis University in Colorado studying Visual Arts and played Lacrosse.  Amanda returned home to live and work in Fairfield County and is now on the Young Life of Greenwich team.  Serving as a club leader at the high school level, her creativity and programmatic gifts bring a fresh dynamic to the area and gives high school kids room to take ownership of club. 
 
 
Timothy Sullivan

Tim Sullivan grew up in Darien with his family and got involved with Young Life first as a volunteer WyldLife leader.  He and his wife Ali attended Nyack University and moved to Greenwich in 2008.  Tim has a huge heart for kids and is enjoying life with Ali & their first child Lily.  Tim's focus on the Young Life of Greenwich team is middle school kids and helping to expand the program in town.       

Ali Sullivan
Volunteer Leader
 
Ali Sullivan became a leader in 2007 after joining Tim in doing WyldLife.  She grew up in NJ and went on to study youth missions & spanish studies at Nyack University.  Ali is now letting WyldLife kids be part of her new life with her daughter Lily.
