Adults Who Care
Effective committees are the lifeline for Young Life in the local area. Young Life begins in new areas because of adults - because of their love for the Lord, their love for lost kids in their community and their commitment to Young Life's vision for reaching every kid, everywhere for Christ.
And Young Life is sustained by adults serving on an area committee, in communities across the United States and around the world. They are unseen and unknown to most of the kids they serve, but these people are the foundation for successful ministry in Young Life communities.
The Young Life Committee:
• Is in many ways the backbone of Young Life in a local area.
• Is a group of people who come together in friendship and commitment in a local area.
• Is a group that are there for the area director and volunteer leaders to make sure they are cared for, prayed for, and that the funding is there for them.
• Is a group of adults that say to their community, “This is an organization you need to get behind.”
• Is a group that brings Young Life credibility into the community in order for it to continue to grow so that every kid would have the opportunity to know Jesus Christ.
