Bio: Joel was raised in Colorado.  He spent 3 years in the Marine Corps and then attended the University of Georgia where he was introduced to Young Life as a volunteer leader.  Following college Joel came on Young Life staff and has served in Georgia for the past 11 years.  Joel is married to Bethany, a White Station and UGA graduate and they have a daughter, Addie Lane.  Joel and Bethany moved to Memphis in 2007 to take the Area Director position.
