The Rollin Wilson Young Life House Fund

Rollin started the CFAPTHI (Can't Find A Place To Have It) Young Life club in 1952.  It started as Second Presbyterian Church's Sunday evening youth fellowship and grew into an outreach to hundreds of young people each year.  In the early years, kids from East, Germantown, Huthison, MUS, St. Mary's, White Station and other schools gathered in homes on Sunday nights at 8:30 to have fun, meet new friends and hear Rollin talk about the Savior in a way few of us ever heard.  He spoke in our language and captured our attention with the way he told stories and used illustrations to help us understand the Christian faith.

In the 60's Rollin led two Young Life Clubs, CFAPTHI and a new club for just East High.  He started week long ski trips in Young Life, taking hundreds of students from Memphis to Colorado to ski during Spring Break.  He served on the National Board for Young Life, was president of Rotary in Memphis and ran his own company, the Rollin Wilson Toy Company.   His dream to see families exposed to Young Life started Memphis Family Camps at Trail West Lodge and led to establishing the National Family Camps we have today at Trail West.  Rollin mentored many of us and taught us how to follow Jesus.

Read Jeanne Stevenson Moessner's words "A Tribute To Rollin" which she read at the dedication of the Rollin Wilson Young Life House in 1996.  This house serves as the office for Young Life Metro and East Memphis.

Rollin led the CFAPTHI Club (Young Life for Hutchison, MUS and St. Mary's) for 50 years!  He became the longest running club leader in Young Life's history and was honored at the 2004 National Staff Conference.

Through the years, Rollin's wife Margaret and his daughters Libby, Leigh, and Lynne always supported Rollin and shared his love for the mission.  Libby is with the Lord today and probably talking with everyone in heaven about Young Life Camp!
