What is Wyldlife?

Wyldlife gives you plenty of opportunities to have an amazing time with your friends at club, campaigners and camp. You will also get to know some pretty cool adults who care about you. With Wyldlife leaders, you and your friends can enjoy being teenagers and experience what life is all about.

The Basics
WyldLife is Young Life's ministry to middle school kids. Because middle school kids are at a different developmental stage than high schoolers and have different needs, we make a subtle distinction from our high school ministry.

How It Works
WyldLife works by:
Praying for young people.
Going where kids are.
Developing unconditional friendships with kids.
Providing experiences that are safe, fun, adventurous and life-changing.
Sharing the Good News of Christ.
Encouraging kids to deepen their relationship with God.
Helping them develop the skills, assets and attitudes to reach their full, God-given potential.
Encouraging them to become involved in a local church.
Working with a team of like-minded individuals — volunteer leaders, committee members, donors and staff.
The Parents
Young Life values parents, and we want them to feel informed about our work with teenagers. Young Life also welcomes parental involvement, especially in WyldLife. Call your local Young Life office to learn more about supporting WyldLife in your community.

The Leaders
We carefully screen our leaders to ensure they are men and women of integrity, and all volunteers are trained and supervised by staff members.

The Funding
WyldLife is funded mainly by contributions from parents and adults in each community. In addition, many churches (of all denominations) and kid-friendly businesses support WyldLife. No general mission funds subsidize local work. The organization of Young Life is an accredited member of the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA). View Young Life's Annual Report.

Our Commitment
WyldLife staff and leaders believe that adolescents are important and valuable. They are making decisions that will influence the rest of their lives. Staff and leaders are committed to building relationships with kids and modeling the attractive, unconditional love of Jesus Christ.

We look forward to working with your children throughout their teenage years. We want to provide enriching experiences as they mature and are involved with WyldLife and Young Life.
