Young Life in Rockbridge County
Everyone is looking for significance and meaning in life. Everyone. Kids look all over the place for fulfillment, acceptance, joy, pleasure, etc. A lot of times they look in the wrong places. In fact, it would be fair to say that most of the time kids look in the wrong places. The media does a great job of pointing kids to some places where they are supposed to find life...but ultimately they never do.
Young Life exists to point kids to the life they were intended to live. To point kids to Jesus where true life is ultimately found. We believe that Jesus, as the author of life, holds the answers to the deepest questions of life.
Young Life Rockbridge County is a group of caring adults who develop relationships with kids, and share that message. We do this by spending time with kids on their turf. By earning the right to be heard. By walking through life with them. We have weekly "club" meetings and Bible studies where kids can come hear about Jesus in a safe environment that is fun and engaging. We give kids adventure by taking them to camps where the love of God is not only communicated but seen all around them. We believe that every kid in Rockbridge County deserves the chance to hear about who Jesus is, and how he wants to be a part of their life.
