Donors are vital to Young Life at the local area and regional levels. Because Young Life areas are financially supported solely at the local level, donors’ financial gifts account for all of an area's budget and part of a region's budget. Your donation helps areas hire and train staff and provide essential administrative support to the area. Your contributions also support operating expenses such as salaries and other ministry costs and can help send kids to Young Life camps.

We are committed to introducing adolescents in this region to Jesus Christ and helping them grown in their faith. Young Life also aims to establish and maintain a presence at all high schools and middle schools in this region.

Traditionally Young Life has been supported by the gifts of local individuals, businesses and churches in the community. But this model of support falls short as we enter into communities where resources are limited and Young Life has no "legacy factor" or history to lean on.

As a result, nearly 1 million dollars is raised annually to help subsidize the work in communities that would other wise not see the work of Young Life take place. We are proud of the diversity represented by our staff members, volunteers and communities in which we serve. However, it takes many committed adults who share in a similar vision to support this tremendous need each year.

In addition to this annual operating funding drive, our vision is to build a "Legacy Fund" that would partially endow our major urban centers like San Francisco, San Jose and Oakland in the future. Our goal is to raise over 10 million dollars toward this end by 2015.
