Young Life Meeting the Needs in St. Croix Valley
The St. Croix Valley has a strong sense of community. All kids are part of our community, and helping them grow as mature adults preserves the values and character of our community at large. Young Life has made an impact in the lives of students and their families in the St. Croix Valley for 40 years by introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them grow in their faith. Young Life works hand in hand with local churches and other social service organizations to provide the right environment for kids to grow into responsible adults and learn about their faith. It does that by:
• earning the right to be heard• going to where kids are• building personal relationships with them• nurturing them• providing experiences that are fun, adventurous and life-changing, and loving them regardless of their response.
Young people will find a way to meet their needs. . .even if this means moving in directions that are not approved of by family and/or community. How young people meet their needs depends in large part on the strength and direction of influences and opportunities in their lives. This is why Young Life seeks to meet kids where they are, at their own level, and to give them a positive influence with life changing significance.
The Role of a Young Life Leader
Leaders are committed to being involved with kids' lives -- from supporting them at their sporting events to listening to them talk about what's important to them. Our leaders help kids consider the direction of their lives, and they offer hope for their future.
