Parent FAQs

Where is Oakbridge?

Just outside Ramona, CA (NE of San Diego)

How will you be getting there?

Leaders and parents will be driving kids in their own vehicles, leaving from Dwyer Middle School amphitheatre (14th St. side).

What time will you leave and arrive back?

We will meet at 12:00 on Tuesday, July 6 and return around 2:00pm on Sunday, July 11.

What will the supervision be like?

WyldLife leaders they know from club will be going wtih them and staying with them in teh cabins. Our ratio of leaders to kids is around 1:6. There will also be around 40 other staff to run the property and activities.

Is there a medical staff on the property?

Yes. A doctor, nurse, or EMT will be on property at all times.

How many campers will be at Oakbridge?

There will be around 180 campers and leaders together. We are planning on taking 20 campers and leaders from Dwyer.

What type of activities are there at Oakbridge?

There will be a pool, skate park, rock wall, mountain bikes, various sports, a Wyldlife Club every night, great food, and a ton of fun!

Packing List

To Bring:

o Pillow & sleeping bag
o Bath towel
o Closed toed shoes
o Camera (preferably disposable so theft not an issue)
o Toiletries (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.)
o Money for In N Out on the way there and back
o Shorts, t-shirts, jeans, sweatshirt
o Jacket
o 2 sets of REALLY grubby clothes (the kind you can leave there & won’t miss)
o 1 pair of REALLY grubby shoes (or you can go barefoot)
o Swimsuit(s)
o Beach towel
o Sunscreen
o Sunglasses
o “Western” clothes/costume, Neon clothes/accessories, sports jersey/accessories (these are all for fun--don't go buy anything)
o Nice outfit (i.e. slacks, dress, skirt, collared shirt, etc.)
o Optional money for snacks, crafts & store
o Optional skateboard/rollerblades (however, boards will be provided)

Not to Bring:

o Drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, etc.
o Personal audio devices (ipods, cd players), gameboys, cell phones, etc. (You can have them for the drive there and back ONLY—they will be off limits while you are at camp).
