Dates:  July 31- Aug 6, 2010.
 
Drop off & Pick up: The vans will pick us up and drop us off at HBHS parking lot. Please be there between 5:45 and 6:00am. We will return around 10pm. (these times are not determined yet...may be off by a few hours)
 
Cost: $600 includes everything except extra optional spending money for snacks, t-shirt or sweatshirt, camp DVD, etc.  You will need spending money for meals on the way to camp and back.

Q. Where is Lost Canyon?
A. The camp is located located @ 7000 feet in beautiful northern Arizona just 30 miles west of Flagstaff. 1450 Perkinsville Rd., Williams, AZ 86046 (feel free to send your kid mail!)
 
Q. How are you getting there?
A. We will be traveling by charter bus.
 
Q. What will the supervision be like?
A. Young Life leaders from Huntington Beach will be going with them—the average ratio of students to leader is 5:1, the leaders stay in the cabins with the kids.  Beside our own leaders there will be about 60 other staff at camp who help to run the property and activities.
 
Q. Is there a medical staff on the property?
A. Yes, there will be a doctor, nurse and/or EMT on property.  Please let us know if your child has a medical condition we should know about.  Any meds will be administered by the camp medical staff or your teen can take them him/herself.
 
Q. How many campers will be at Lost Canyon?
A. There will be around 400 kids and leaders all together.
 
Q. What type of activities are there at Lost Canyon?
A. There will be a pool w/waterslide and hot tub, mountain bikes, lake, zip line, “blob”, indoor gym, game room, various sports, group activities, ropes course, Young Life Club every day, awesome food and tons of fun!
 
Q. What should my child pack/bring?
A. See packing list below.
 
Q. When are the deposit and balance due? 
A. The deposit is due ASAP: preferably by March 31. The Balance is due a week before we leave for camp.
 
Q. Are there any fundraisers or scholarships available?

Packing List

To Bring:
o Closed toed shoes
o Camera
o Toiletries (toothbrush, shampoo, etc.)
o Money for meal on the way there and back
o Shorts, t-shirts, jeans, sweatshirt
o 3 sets of REALLY grubby clothes (the kind you can leave there & won’t miss)
o 2 pairs of REALLY grubby shoes
o Swimsuit(s)
o Beach towel
o Flip flops
o Sunscreen
o Sunglasses
o “Western” clothes/costume
o Athletic clothes and jersey (if you have one)
o Nice outfit (i.e. dress, skirt, collared shirt, etc.)
o Optional money for snacks, crafts, camp DVD & store

Not to Bring:
o Drugs, alcohol, etc.
o Personal audio devices (ipods, cd players), gameboys, cell phones, etc. (You can have them for the drive there and back ONLY—they will be off limits while you are at camp).
o Weapons; including airsoft guns, knives, pepper spray, etc.
 
You Won’t Need:
o Sleeping bag/pillow (although you may bring your pillow if you’d like)
o Shower towel (they will provide one)
o Tons of snacks—there’s a snack shop and the meals are awesome!
