Parents and Community

Even though Young Life is especially for kids, parents and other adults in the community are important to Young Life. Adults can support Young Life in a variety of ways — by becoming a volunteer leader or committee member, by attending a Young Life fund-raising event, by hosting Young Life or by simply telling others in the community about Young Life and its commitment to kids.

Builds Strong Ties with Community

Young Life College provides many opportunities for students to give back to the community. College leaders are excellent mentors and friend to high school and middle school students. Many inner city kids lack positive role models and are at times not encouraged to pursue their dreams. The strength in having college students as leader is to give positive examples of what determination and hard work can do. College students are able to make an investment in the community as they mentor a young man or young woman.
