Dear Friends,

As is often the case in our journey with Christ, my path has taken an unexpected turn.  I've been called, along with my wife Ninie, to provide regional leadership to the Young Life effort in the United Kingdom.  Not one to look for international travel opportunities, I am confident of God's hand in this process.  It's an enormous undertaking, and I invite you to join me in this adventure.

The United Kingdom is both a difficult and important place for Young Life to be today.  Important, because Great Britain is very international, with teenagers living and studying there from all over the world.  Many of them will return to or have influence in their countries of origin.  Difficult, because of the growing influence of other religious traditions (Islam, in particular) and because of [at least superficial familiarity] with Christianity.  Culture in the UK has been described as "post-Christian."  I will bring almost 35 years of experience on Young Life staff to this leadership role- and I'm going to need all of that!

Ninie and I are very excited about this challenge.  We are also aware of our utter dependence on God for success.  We ask that you pray for us and consider becoming a part of the financial support team who will make our vision a reality.
