Saranac 2009
In August 2008, Asian Young Life took 60 high school kids and leaders to Saranac Village, an incredible resort-style camp for teenagers in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State. Simply put, the week was unbelievable.
For those of you who missed out, don't worry... We're doing it again this summer! If you are an Asian American high school kid and you live in Bergen County, get a few of your friends and do whatever you have to do to get to this place! You'll be joining other Asian kids from Bergen County at one of the most incredible places on the planet! Imagine seven days of parasailing, waterskiing, tubing, wakeboarding, a hot tub, a 100-foot long water slide, basketball, tennis, frisbee, ping pong... plus beautiful scenery, great food, good friends, and amazing memories. Trust us... this is no ordinary camp experience!
Please note: This trip is only for high school students who live in Bergen County. For more information, contact your Asian Young Life leader or simply ask any of the dozens of kids who went last year (and who had the time of their life!).
When? How Much?
Date: Sunday, August 9 to Saturday, August 15, 2009
Cost: Only $299 (for students in grades 9-11) or $359 (for students in grade 12)
*These prices apply to first-timers only; special rules and prices apply for those who have already been to Asian Young Life camp. Please speak with your AYL leader.

Parental Concerns
Be assured that we take your child’s welfare seriously and that we want your child to have the best week of his or her life. Supervision at camp includes local adult leaders who already know your child and who “go through” camp with their teenage guests, overseeing and experiencing the same activities that the teenagers do. Furthermore, there is a property staff of over 40 additional adult workers, including a camp physician and an EMT, who live on the camp premises. The overall ratio of adult supervision to kids is about 1:7. Male and female housing is clearly defined, separated, and chaperoned. Student safety and well-being are our first priorities.
For additional information, please visit the official Saranac Village website, where you can learn all about the camp, the facilities, and the incredible surroundings. If you have any unanswered questions, please call our office at (201) 674-7966 or email us. We are certain that your child will have an incredible experience, and we do not want your son or daughter to miss out! |
