Full Time Job Opportunity

Do you have a heart for Asian American teenagers? Asian Young Life is seeking a Korean-speaking college or seminary graduate who has a heart for missions to join a supportive team of like-minded young adults in ministering to non-Christian and new Christian Asian American high school girls and who will oversee and provide support for the ministry's female volunteer leaders.

Asian Young Life is an ethnic-specific ministry of Young Life that is committed to making a difference in the lives of Asian American teenagers. Founded in 2003, Asian Young Life has seen extraordinary growth over the past five years and now needs additional staff to carry out the everyday needs of the ministry. The staff person will serve under the area director of Asian Young Life and will be supervised by the regional director of the New York Metropolitan Region. Funding is already in place to hire this staff person immediately.

If you are ready to apply now, please complete our online job application. If you have any questions, please email us or call us at (201) 674-7966. Thank you and good luck!

Notes
Bergen County, NJ, has a significant Asian population (about 13 percent) that consists primarily of Koreans, Chinese and Filipinos. The county sits on the Hudson River directly across from New York City and is famous for its many downtown shopping districts and malls. It is one of the 25 wealthiest counties in the US and has some of the most extensive "blue laws" in the nation, requiring most business establishments to shut down on Sundays, leading to a restful day of peace and tranquility. Asian Young Life serves kids throughout Bergen County and is the only Asian-specific Young Life ministry in the nation. All of the volunteer leaders and committee members are Asian Americans. There are about 120+ Asian kids at each club meeting and about 40+ Asian kids in Campaigners. See our About Asian Young Life page for more information about the ministry.
