What is Asian Young Life?
Asian Young Life is a Christian organization committed to making a difference in the lives of Asian American teenagers. We are currently serving Asian American young people in the northern New Jersey regions of Bergen and Morris counties. Asian Young Life is a ministry of Young Life, an international youth organization founded in 1941 with the goal of introducing adolescents to Jesus Christ and helping them to grow in their faith. We carry out our mission by training adults who have a heart for Asian kids to enter the world of the Asian American teenager. These leaders spend anywhere from 5 to 10 hours each week hanging out with kids, building genuine friendships in an effort to bridge the gap that typically separates teenagers from adults. Our leaders go on to communicate what they believe about God clearly and in terms that kids can understand, but they do so with no strings attached. They protect every kid's right and ability to make his or her own decisions regarding faith issues and love them regardless of their response.
