Parents and Community

Even though Young Life is especially for kids, parents and other adults in the community are important to Young Life. Adults can support Young Life in a variety of ways — by becoming a volunteer leader or committee member, by attending a Young Life fund-raising event, by hosting Young Life or by simply telling others in the community about Young Life and its commitment to kids.

Keeping Kids Safe

An important part of our committment to kids is how we keep kids safe. Our staff and volunteer leaders know they are responsible for modeling lives of hope and integrity.Young Life's Human Resources department has developed missionwide policies and procedures to ensure that kids are protected when they are with Young Life staff and/or leaders as well as when kids are part of Young Life'sponsored activities.

Wondering what your kids are doing????????

As a parent we know it is difficult to keep up with your kids crazy schedule and all of the different clubs, organizations, and sports teams so here is an attempt to let you know what we do.

CLUB - Every Monday or Tuesday night depending on your area kids get together for some good old ORGANIZED CHAOS.  It sounds odd but this is exactally what you get when you put anywhere between 30 to 60 high schools kids in a room together.  We do a little bit of music, throw in some comedy, a few games and settle it down for some time to talk about how JESUS applies to their crazy world and that is club.  Club in a nutshell anyway, you really have to see it to believe it.  Come out one night or even better invite us to have club at your house.

CAMPAIGNERS - Every Thursday night around the county we settle in for a little more serious discussion about God's word or topics that are really affecting the adolescent culture.  This is a time when kids who want to go deeper or have questions can come and get answers.

CAMP - YoungLife does camp like no other.  One week a year and a couple of weekends we take kids away for some of the best times of their lives.  If you ever have the chance to come and check it out as an adult guest it will blow your mind.

This is just a breif overview of some of the things that go on with YL in our area if you ever want more information I love to talk about this stuff.  Just call or e mail at the contact information given on the page and I would love to tell you more.
