ATV/Trailer Raffle Sends Kids to Camp
March 19, 2006
Author: Andy Chidwick

If you live in the Bitterroot, you will most likely see this brand new Polaris ATV on a trailer with a Young Life banner attatched to it, parked here and there around the valley.  That's because we are raffling this baby off to help us raise necessary funds to help us send kids to summer camp and cover our operating expenses.

Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased from individual kids in need of funds for camp, or from Young Life leaders, staffers or committee members.  Tickets will also be available from a few supportive businesses around the valley--check back here soon for a list of those businesses.  Only 2000 tickets have been printed, so be sure to get yours!

Sure, it would be nice to win this ATV, and someone here in the valley will win it, but the main thing is getting these kids to camp.  Bringing fifty people (including leaders) to Wildhorse Canyon, a premier resort-style Young Life camp in Central Oregon, doesn't come cheaply.  But we have seen again and again that a week at this camp can be life-changing for kids, and it is well-worth the expense to get them there.  The ATV and trailer have been donated by a supportive family here in the valley, so every dollar that these raffle tickets brings in goes directly to the programs of Young Life.  Every ticket that a kid sells goes directly to his/her personal camp fund!

So invest in the future of our valley.  Buy some raffle tickets and send these kids to camp this summer, for what is widely regarded as "the best week of their lives."
