Summer is coming quickly upon us, and before you know it, we will be getting on a chartered bus with 300 other high schoolers from the metro area on our way to Lost Canyon in Arizona with 100 other high schoolers from around the country. This will be the week of a lifetime for your kids.
 
First, we want you to know, this trip will be well supervised. We will have 12 adult leaders from our Area (GW, TJ, East, Manual) who will be attending. There are medical personnel at Lost Canyon on site, and in case of more serious injuries, the hospital in Flagstaff, Arizona is 30 minutes away.

1. Dates: We will be departing Denver on Sunday June 7th @ 12:00am(Really the Night of the 6th) from the East Highschool Student Parking Lot which is located on Josephine and 16th

We will be returning to Denver to the same location on Sunday  June 14 @7am   (The staff will have their cell phones so you can call and check along the way.)

2. You will want to send clothes that you do not mind being permanently stained. The “Red Clay” of/around Lost Canyon will leave a lasting mark that will not come out of light clothes easily if at all.

3. The weather will be cool/warm at Lost Canyon. Days will be in the 70-80’’s / Nights in the 60’s. Maybe a light jacket and/or sweatshirt, but mainly shorts; tshirts; swim suit; a pair of jeans; a bandana; tennis shoes; sun screen. You may want to send a pillow for the 24 hour bus trip but bedding at camp will be provided. Please do plan on sending along shampoo, tooth brush, an extra towel if you would like for your kid to use at the pool.

4. You will want to send money for your Child to use to eat as we will be stopping for some meals both going and coming from Lost canyon. As well, you may want to consider some extra money for ice cream, pop, shirts etc. your kid may want to use at the Lost Canyon Store. Anywhere from $35-$100, more depending on what your child may want to buy.

5. We are enclosing a Health, Consent and Release form  that needs to be signed before your son/daughter gets on the bus June 7th. This form does NOT need to be signed by a physician for Lost canyon.
