Meet our Area Director, Albus (Debi) Brooks

Meet Albus Brooks, the leader of our Area. Right now he's leading a team at East HS as well as spending many hours in our office. He's newly married to his amazing wife Debi Brooks and they have a newborn son named Makai. But Albus is the visionary in this area. The Lord has blessed Central Denver YL with Albus' ability to dream big for Denver. It has been his vision from the very beginning to see kids from all racial, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds come together to have the opportunity to hear about Jesus and it's finally happening right here in Denver.

Albus spends most of his time at East HS, meeting with kids, leaders, and donors. He's very committed to his calling and this area is very blessed to have him in this leadership position. It's easy to follow a guy with such big dreams and such a willing heart for God.

Meet our South Denver Area Director, Caleb Nothwehr

Caleb's been in the Central Denver Young Life are for almost three years now and has been on staff for almost two years. He started out as a volunteer leader at THomas Jefferson HS with a huge heart for kids and an amazing desire to grom in his knowledge of the Lord.

In the next year Caleb will be starting his own area in South Denver. The Lord has given Caleb an amazing vision and love for this area of Denver. We're so excited to see what the Lord is going to do in South Denver and with Caleb!

Our Staff meets weekly for spiritual growth and development and Caleb asked if he could be a part of these meeting. But in order for him to come to these meetings he would need to miss work. This sacrifice shows the lengths to which Caleb is willing to go to be sure he is following the Lord's will in his life. We are blessed to have Caleb as a brother and a fellow soldier fighting the fight right along side us here in Denver. He brings great community and an overwhelming sense of love and acceptance, the heart of Jesus.

Meet our Student Staff, Eric Ebel

Eric is entering his 3rd year of Student Staff at Manual High School. He and five other leaders go into Manual 2-3 times a week and love kids in a low socio-economic background with the love of Jesus. Eric is also an Honor Roll student and business major at Colorado Christian University. Eric participates in our Issachar Urban Development Program that trains our best young leaders in the city to be transformational leaders in the city. Keep Eric and his team in your prayers as they RISK with kids in hard places.

Meet our Office Administrator, Daron Nicole Fiala

Daron has been involved with Young Life since she was a 6th grader in Bellevue, WA. Little did she know how involved she would become in the wonderful organization. After being a volunteer leader, doing summer staff and a property internship, she was ready for something new.

Towards the end of her internship at Crooked Creek Ranch, she was on the search for where and to what Young Life would lead her to. That's where Albus came in with a staff position in the Central Denver office. With a passion to serve, a knack for organization, meeting with current staff and committee members and after some good prayer the Lord confirmed that Central Denver is where she aught to be!

Daron has recently gotten engaged to her love and best friend Caleb Walters. Together they hope to support Young Life in Central Denver with their hearts for the Lord, the organization of Young Life, and for the kids in Denver that are waiting to be reached, just like Daron was several years ago.
