Meet our Area Director, Albus (Debi) Brooks

Meet Albus Brooks, the leader of our Area. Right now he's leading a team at East HS as well as spending many hours in our office. He's newly married to his amazing wife Debi Brooks and they have a newborn son named Makai. But Albus is the visionary in this area. The Lord has blessed Central Denver YL with Albus' ability to dream big for Denver. It has been his vision from the very beginning to see kids from all racial, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds come together to have the opportunity to hear about Jesus and it's finally happening right here in Denver.

Albus spends most of his time at East HS, meeting with kids, leaders, and donors. He's very committed to his calling and this area is very blessed to have him in this leadership position. It's easy to follow a guy with such big dreams and such a willing heart for God.

Meet Bello/Valley Area Dir, Art (Stacey & Brooklyn) Williams

Meet Art Williams. This is Art's fourth year on full time staff in the Area but he was on student staff previously in the Montbello/Green Valley area. He's kind of a newlywed to the beautiful Stacey Williams and they've just had a precious baby girl, Brooklyn Rose Williams. If you ask anyone who's close to Art they'll tell you that he has a true passion for the community of Montbello/Green Valley, so much that he moved there from West Denver. He’s great at building relationships with kids and showing them the true heart of Jesus. He’s become a true father figure to some of these kids and become a pillar in the community. He truly cares for these kids and gives every second he has to the broken hearts of this community that he’s called to. Central Denver is very lucky to have him here with us.

Over the past fiveyears the Montbello/Green valley community has begun to explode. Now we have 2 Young Life club and 1 Wyldlife club with plans to start another Young Life club and Wyldlife club. Art also has plans to start his own area this Fall and hire his own staff. God has placed amazing gifts and vision within Art. He is an amazing person and God knew just what He was doing when He chose Art to lead this entire community. Just wait and see becasue not only is Montbello/Green valley on fire but so is Art Williams and amazing things will happen because of this mans obedience and willingness to do what God wants him to.

Meet our Area Adminstrator/Intern, Amina Rausch

Meet Amina Rausch, this is her third year on full time staff, but she has been a volunteer leader for the past five years. She is leading a team at George Washington HS where she loves to be with kids and enjoys caring for people's hearts. Not only does Amina partake in the ministry side of Young Life but she also takes care of the administative duties for our area.

If you ask anyone to describe Amina in one word, it would love. She loves these kids like Jesus loves us. She’s always there for them faithfully and gives of herself until hurts. When they look at her, they see Jesus.

Meet our Wyldlife Director, Ashley Darroh

Meet Ashley Darroh our WyldLife Director. Ashley is amazing because of her wonderful personality. She brings an element of laughter to our office and she's not afraid to be her. She loves being with kids and is an amazing representation of Christ.

Ashley has a light heart and sweet spirit which is needed to work with middle school kids. She's always making jokes and fooling around with everyone in the office. She's very organized and gets things done. She brings a great presence to the team and we love her personality. She brings balance and patience to an age group which many would run from (lol). The Lord has used Ashley is an amazing way this year. Many would have run at the thought of ebing in a multiculutural atmosphere but Ashley embraced the change and we look forward to being with her next year and seeing what God will do with her next. She's an amazing woman of God who's right where God wants her, changing the lives of kids.
