What's Happening in Central Denver...
We began as an official Young Life area on October 1, 2002. However, our first club was Wyldlife (middle school) in 1997. There was a community of people (they now are YL committee) in the Crestmoor neighborhood who desired to see the ministry of Young Life touch the kids in their neighborhood. This vision, which began on Crestmoor Dr to reach kids for Christ, has spread into many communities in the Denver Metro area, and it continues to grow today. We currently have 7 YL clubs and 4 WL clubs, and a College Fellowship at the University of Denver in the Denver Metro area.
In our area we minister to adolescents from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds that are located in communities all over the Denver Metro area. In Young Life, we believe that “Every Kid, Everywhere” has the right to hear about the amazing person of Jesus Christ. It is our goal to see that it happens within different communities in Central Denver Young Life, building bridges of love and hope for one another.
These are a few of the communities we're in: Green Valley, Montbello, Park Hill, 5 Points, Congress Park, Crestmoor, Hilltop, Wash Park, Bonnie Brae, Southmoor, Observatory and DU. And this is just the beginning...
We Get 212 Degrees for Kids...
Young Life thinks the world of kids. That's why we invest time and energy into every kid. 212 degrees is the point at which water boils and we ask our leaders to stay at that level of being over the top for kids. We believe that they deserve to know what life can hold for them. Young Life leaders are caring adults who come sharing that hope as well as fun and lasting friendships with kids. Young Life is also all about fun. From club and camp to dgroup and other activities, teenagers will have blast laughing, trying new things and being with their friends.
