March 13, 2010
Saranac

Are You Ready For the Best Week of Your Life?

Open to anyone in high school (completed 9th - completed 12th grade)

Saturday, June 6 - Sunday, June 14

$850 ($100 deposit holds your spot)
Price includes all transportation, room and board, a camp t-shirt, Six Flags tickets on the trip home, and a few meals while travelling to and from camp. We recommend you bring approximately $50 spending money for food on the road, the camp store and snack bar, and a camp video at the end of the week.

What to pack:
• Jeans/Pants (the average high at Saranac in early June is 75 and the average low is 45)
• Shorts
• One set of clothes (t-shirt and shorts) that you can trash and maybe throw away.
• Shirts (most kids wear shorts and t-shirts during the day and maybe jeans and nicer shirts at night)
• One Dressier outfit (sundress or skirt and top for girls, guys usually wear slacks and a nicer shirt - button up or polo)
• A golf outfit.  We will have an area wide Frisbee Golf competition and part of the competition is wearing an obnoxious golf outfit - crazy pants, argyle socks, golf hats, sweater vests, etc.
• 2 Pairs of Closed Toed Shoes - a pair of closed toed shoes that can get trashed (and probably thrown away - find an old pair of sneakers or go to Good Will and get an old pair), another pair of closed toed shoes that can be worn for the ropes course and other activities (so that makes TWO pairs of closed toed shoes...this is important!)
• Light jacket or fleece
• Sandals
• Toiletries
• Swimsuit
• Sunscreen
• A beach towel (bed linens are provided by the camp as well as a towel and washcloth.  A clean towel will be given after 3 days.)
• Pillow for the bus
• Snacks for the bus
• Bug Spray
• Camera

Other Important Info:

Every camper MUST have a health form filled out by a parent before getting on the bus.  You can access the health form here

We also need a consent form for medical treatment.  That form can be accessed here

All electronics will be collected and stored in the camp “vault” for safe keeping during your stay at Saranac. This includes all cell phones. Please bring a calling card to make calls from camp.

While at Saranac all prescriptions medications will need to be distributed by the camp medic. Please list all medications on the Health Form with any additional instructions for use.
