Our Vision

Our vision will always be to serve as a lifeline for kids, one kid at a time.  To accomplish this goal, we are seeking to expand our ministry into new schools and communities, and to reach further into the pre-teen culture. Over the last thirty-nine years, Gainesville / Hall County Young Life has expanded into three high schools, but that is not enough.  We are working to develop a strong network of leaders and committee members who will serve specific communities within the county.  With a strong support team of adults focused on these areas we can continue the Young Life legacy in our community.  Over the next five years our goal is to expand into two additional high schools.  We have a strategy to get there; we know that all kids are "too important to ignore".

2008-2009 Stats

Strengthening our Ground
This school year Young Life is strengthening our current ministry by ensuring that we
have “healthy ministers, on healthy teams,  doing healthy ministry”. This will act as our model as we recruit and train new leaders to address the growth of the county.
Leaders Loved
Last school year our leaders loved kids like never before.  Our 20 adult leaders invested an estimated 4,500 hours into relationships with over 500 local teenagers.

Kids Came
In 2008-2009 kids came to Young Life club meetings in record numbers. Over 600 kids attended a Young Life club throughout the year with an average attendance of over 150 kids each week.  Gainesville, North Hall and Lakeview Academy met individually in homes in their respective communities.  We took over 250 leaders and kids to different camps throughout the year.

Kids Grew
Our hope above all is that kids will not just come face to face with Jesus, but will begin to grow in their relationship with Him as well.  In 2008-2009 we placed further emphasis on our Campaigner meetings.  We continued with our Campaigner groups, and sent high school students to camps to serve month-long assignments as members of volunteer work crews.
