Your senses come alive when you’re at Young Life. Seeing smiles, hearing music, savoring a banana split, the feel of a handshake and even the aroma of fresh mountain pines are all here for kids who want to experience them. And not only the five physical senses – in Young Life we also share with kids our sense of humor, sense of purpose, sense of belonging and sense of grace.
Just as kids can fill their senses with what Young Life has to offer, we truly hope that they’ll ultimately “taste and see that the Lord is good.” Just like the miracle of turning water to wine, Jesus offers us a life full of flavor. Many kids have never tasted the abundant life, and so they’re left hungry and unsatisfied with flavorless living. We have the opportunity to present him in such a way, that kids might be attracted to the aroma of Christ they smell in us.
We hope that after this time together you’ll sense Young Life in a new way as well – not as a flat brochure or program, but as people caring for the kids in this area. We’d also love for you to personally experience how you can bring even more life to the mission through your own involvement, talents and resources. Thanks for wanting to find out more about the sensations of Young Life!
