Fall Update from Jan Marable, Area Director November, 2008

For nearly 40 years in Michiana, Young Life staff and leaders have been investing their time with teenagers to build lasting friendships and to help them consider the eternal direction of their lives.

During this past semester each week our Young Life leaders were hanging out with kids at local schools, hosting club meetings and leading Campaigners (small group bible study) at various sites throughout our community.  This month our area took 46 leaders and kids to Timber Wolf Lake, (a Young Life camp in Lake City Michigan) for the weekend. Kids from South Bend and Mishawaka schools were able to experience the love of Christ and hear the gospel at one of the best weekends of their lives.

We are grateful that God is adding laborers to help with the great harvest of kids in our community. We have just completed our area leadership training for the fall and we are excited that we will be adding 15 new volunteer leaders from Bethel College and Notre Dame University. These new volunteers are excited college students who love God and kids and want to serve Him through Young Life Michiana.

Crazy About Kids

Young Life thinks the world of kids. We believe that they deserve to know what life can hold for them. Young Life and WyldLife leaders are caring adults who come sharing that hope as well as fun and lasting friendships with kids. Young Life is also all about fun. From club and camp to Campaigners and other activities, teenagers will have blast laughing, trying new things and being with their friends.
