Our current ministry in Argentina is only in Corrientes, a city of about 250,000 on the Paraguay border in the northeastern part of the country.  The work was started there by a volunteer leader, David Schlick, from Visalia, California.  He took folks from his church and began to train leaders and put on a weekend camp.  This was done totally separate from the International office.  We didn’t know about it until he contacted us and said these folks needed some help and attention.  There are two clubs led all by Argentinean volunteers.  There is one couple, Eduardo and Carolina Pi, who are now acting as our volunteer Area Director.  Their clubs are about 20-30 kids.  The three camps they have put on have had about 90 kids attending.  It seems they have learned the basics well.
