I was raised in a Christian home, and asked God to officially be a part of my life when I was six years old. Throughout my life I have had some great examples of how to live out Christianity, how to back up my beliefs with true action. I am very grateful that God saved me from making many distructive decisions by capturing me at such a young age. When I was in seventh grade, my church hired a youth pastor and I was so excited to learn that it was possible to be a part of youth group forever. I went to Olivet Nazarene University to study youth ministry and cross-cultural missions. There I learned that approximately 90% of the world's youth are outside North America, while 90% of youth workers are inside North America. That was the moment when God told me I wasn't going to be one that was allowed to stay.

Romans 10:14 (Message Bible Version) - "But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it?"
