Testimony:
I am from Midland, MI and graduated from Hope College in Holland, Michigan in 2005 with a degree in social work.  I knew for some time I wanted to be living and working in Latin America and had a heart for the Dominican Republic and Young Life.
 
I grew up in a "church going" home but had my first real, personal encounter with Jesus when I was a sophomore in high school at a Young Life fall weekend.  Through this I was able to change my relationship with my parents and my one sister who is 4 years younger than me, and have continued to grow closer and closer to them throughout the years.
 
My relationship with Jesus is so amazing dynamic and contiunues to grow, expand, and change throughout the valleys and hills of my life.

Favorite Scripture:
Currently, my favorite Scripture is Isaiah 66:9 because it speaks to me about God's unexplainable timing. It's so hard to wait on Him, but He always delivers.
 
"Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?" says your God."

Activities:
I LOVE to travel, especially internationally. I love outdoor activities...I especially enjoy the beach and have recently gotten into surfing. I am always listening to music or reading...or looking for a way to create something new. I love seeing my family and my friends back in the States because they are the people who continue to uphold me with their support.
